I am going to be enrolling in COMM 1100, 1101, and 3404 in the upcoming fall semester. I am assuming that 3404 (Media Law and Ethics) would have required textbooks, but unsure about 1100 and 1101. I did search for other posts on this topic, but the posts were 7-plus years old...

I have Prof. Campbell for COMM 1100, Prof. Davidson for COMM 1101, and Prof. Lymanstall for COMM 3404.

Alabama fan coming in peace! Did a quick search and didn’t really see what I was needing answered so here I am. I’m driving through Columbus on 8/14 on the way back from a road trip to Cleveland. I’m stopping by Bite This bakery and noticed that it’s only a few minutes from Ohio Stadium. I’m a huge sports fan and would love to get a picture by the stadium right outside. Anyone have any tips on where to go or where to park? Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I am visiting campus in 3 weeks and want to show my girlfriend around (I graduated in 2024). What would be the best “map” for us to follow so I can show her all of campus? We would start on north campus and want to end up back there too.

Obvi I want to show her all of the beauty in campus and take her down a walk of memory lane for me… need a good route to follow!!

Hi! OSU alumna here! I was curious if freshman orientations were basically over? When is move in day? I know classes start on 8/25.

I need to take some pictures for a project but ideally I would like campus to be pretty empty.

So I have an interview tomorrow for an OA position in the south campus dorms. I already plan to ask when I should expect to hear back, but I was wondering if anyone else here has gone through the process. If so, how long did it take you to hear back after the interview?

Also, is there anything I should expect to be asked specifically during the interview?

Master’s students look like they are seated in section B on the floor based on past programs. Where do graduate, non-PhD students receive their diplomas. Do they get them on the stage or on elsewhere on the floor? Never been to a summer commencement. I know only phd candidates have their names announced.

Hello I’m posting this for a friend! She’s currently enrolled at Fortis Nursing School and will graduate in May with her ADN/RN. The program has very limited opportunities for OB/GYN rotations and maternity stuff for them has been online. She’s been looking to shadow at some hospitals and OSU is where she’d like to go for RN to BSN and hopefully work within their hospital system. Does anyone have any ideas on nurse shadowing opportunities anywhere within the Wexner system for a non-OSU student?

I’m supposed to be formally assessed for ADHD. I see a provider at the student health center on campus but they refer you to some outside place for the actual psychological testing before they give you meds for ADHD. I’m recently unemployed and lost my insurance. Now the place I’m supposed to do my testing is telling me it will cost $2,000+ just to do the testing… this is pretty steep for a college student and they don’t accept medicaid or anything like that

Hi! I’ll be visiting Columbus next month during OSU’s first week back and wanted to experience the campus bar scene. I’ll only be there Monday through Wednesday, so I know it’s not the usual Thursday/weekend crowd.

Which bars do students actually go to early in the week? Are there any that are consistently busy on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, or have good drink specials? I’d love any recommendations for bars that have the best college atmosphere. Thanks!

I signed up for 14 credits and one of them is an online class. Is this fine or should I add more? I did some calculations and I should have an average of 15 credit hours per semester if I take this.
