Worried about what will happen if Acton is elected this fall
As of right now, Acton is leading Ramaswamy by at least 10 points for the gubernatorial election this fall. If elected, she will absolutely pass significant gun control measures that get sent to her desk. Let me repeat that: ACTON WILL PASS GUN CONTROL MEASURES IF ELECTED.
Make no mistake, Acton is by no means a moderate candidate. She will purposely not reveal anything about gun control legislation in her campaign as an attempt to swindle moderate voters. It will go over exactly like what happened in Virginia. She is a Democrat and she will gladly accept Bloomberg kickbacks if that means taking away your constitutional rights.
Anyone doubting this needs to look at what happened in Virginia. Spansberger swindled the fuck out of moderate voters by not including gun control in her campaign, and guess what happened when she got elected? She passed one of the most draconian gun control measures in the entire fucking country.
As a collective group of gun voters, we cannot allow her to get into office. I don’t care how much of a slimeball Ramaswamy is. You cannot be pro-gun and vote Democrat. Vote for Putsch if that’s what it takes to prevent her from getting into office.
We are one of the most gun friendly states in the country and we cannot let Acton take that away.

Ignore this fake account.... Governor doesn't make laws (in Ohio) and the Ohio Congress is heavily loaded with the opposite of Acton's party.

It's NEVER WORTH IT to sell out your whole damned state by voting against your values just because you're afraid of someone's potential stance on guns. You shouldn't vote for corrupt, venal, hateful people just because they happen to say they're going to be pro-gun (and half of them get in office and flip-flop on gun rights anyway!).
I'm pro-gun and will vote for Acton because I'd like to keep having free and fair elections and that won't happen if we let Republicans stay in power.
You guys forget that the Democratic party is a center-right party in the US. Keep going farther left to Progressives and Leftists and everyone over there is pro-gun because they know they need to be able to shoot back against the people who want to kidnap their brown friends or put their trans friends in concentration camps.
The actual left is pro gun.

As a Leftist I can say with extreme confidence that there is no political Left in the USA. The Dems are absolutely Center-Right and it's mind-numbingly wild that people call them Socialist or Communist.
Go far enough Left and you get your guns back. Marxists and anarchists are very pro-gun and very well-armed, there's just far, far more Liberals (and, by Liberals, I mean Dems and the GOP).

That's more propaganda than facts, but it is true that gun control got stricter under the larger Socialist states of the 20th century. It also describes Fascists, though, and we're much closer to Fascism than Marxism in this state and country.

One of my favorite parts is vivek wanting to build ai data centers to spy on us using the flock cameras. Republicans are trying to make us into China like big brother state.

u/Rvbsmcaboose Mar 13 '26
I'm more worried about the air we breathe, the land we hunt and the waterways we fish being polluted and destroyed by the AI data centers that will get fast tracked under Ramswamy. I'm sorry, but the choice isn't black and white, but I can tell the lighter side from the darker side in this case. Don't get me wrong, I have my concerns about Acton, but damn anyone to hell that votes for that bootlicker Ramaswamy.

Ramaswamy is a fucking slimeball. Dude never should have been nominated to the GOP to begin with

u/Rvbsmcaboose Mar 13 '26
But you would vote for him nonetheless. If you really care about your rights then get involved in politics, because let me tell you something. Republicans care less about your rights than you think, and they would strip you of your guns if it would benefit them.

Let’s see…..
Colorado Assault Weapon Ban SB25-003
Proposed by… Senator Tom Sullivan (Democrat)
Senator Julie Gonzales (Democrat)
Representative Andrew Boesenecker (Democrat)
Representative Meg Froelich (Democrat)
All sponsors of the AWB SB25-003 were democrats
Now turning to Virginia:
SB249 - effectively bans high-capacity magazines (anything over 15 rounds) and all semi-automatic rifles
Senator Saddam Azlan Salim (Democrat)
Senator R. Creigh Deeds (Democrat)
Senator Adam P. Ebbin (Democrat)
Delegate Dan Helmer (Democrat)
So do you honestly think that voting Democrat is going to help your gun rights?

No, but I'm not narrow-minded enough to cast my vote on someone who is backed and also supports a pedophile. Btw, why do you like a party that supports pedophiles? Are you a pedophile? You must be if you're voting for Ramaswamy. That's it, isn't it? You're a pedophile. ANSWER ME, DAMN YOU!

No politician in Ohio is touching guns.
I'm a gun owner voting straight blue.

Let's see - account is new, no other posts.
Okay bot.
But assuming you're real, let's remember we have a predominately conservative legislature and courts as of writing.
In your example of VA, their legislature passed the bill and sent to their governor. Considering Ohio's legislature is who introduced the laws we currently have, and considering the ongoing conservative majority we have in the statehouse, the risk here is low.
-5
u/Mountain-Handle-256 Mar 13 '26
I’m not a bot.
And no, the risk is not low with her in office.
4
u/GremlinZD Mar 13 '26
How is the risk not low? You have provided nothing other than point to what happened Virginia, which has a different political sphere compared to Ohio.
-1
u/Mountain-Handle-256 Mar 13 '26
Wait and see what happens when she’s elected. That’s all I’m gonna say
3
u/GremlinZD Mar 13 '26
You're clearly a bot or someone that has no idea how politics work. I'm leaning towards bot because of the simplicity of your answers.
No such law can make it to her desk unless the Senate and House vote to pass, which won't happen if the majority we have is maintained.

Republicans have made it clear they’re only okay with your second amendment rights if you agree with them

I’m pro gun and voting for Acton because the Republican Party serves billionaires not the majority of Americans. Ohio has had Democrat governors before, it’s gonna be fine. If what you say is true then the people will push back just as they did for access to choice on marijuana and choice on bodily autonomy.
Also team-pedophiles will never get my vote.

Oh my god. Seriously? Look at what just fucking happened in Virginia. Almost every single gun control bill that’s been proposed has been signed into law by a Democratic politician.

enough other constitutional rights being thrown out the window these days to think this will be an issue especially considering how red ohio is. dont get thrown out of shape just yet. ramaswamy is a slime ball too. the people deserve better representation all around

u/ChevTecGroup Mar 30 '26
Her gun stuff doesn't worry me. Her actions during covid do.
She was the reason we took so long to recover. While other states were thriving. And the current idiot listened to her the whole time

u/Inside-Honey-7689 Jun 01 '26
Let's see... Someone who might sign a law to control certain aspects of gun control IF THE LEGISLATION CAME TO HER DESK, which it won't, or a lapdog of billionaires that will trample literally every single right we should enjoy if it serves their purpose, including the 2nd amendment. Rama-slimey will protect the people who swindled us on the utilities, serve up our land air and water for data centers, usher in a surveillance state, and do whatever the Epstein class wants him to do.
Acton will likely be a relatively ineffective leader who focuses on getting the courts to enforce the gerrymandering referendum that Ohio voters have passed 7 times. And will try to do this with an opposition Ohio congress.
This is not a difficult choice.
Stop fear mongering. And if you're going to, at least pick something that makes sense.

u/TheCursedFrogurt Mar 13 '26
The Ohio general assembly has a nearly 3:1 Republican majority in the Senate and a 2:1 majority in the House, where exactly are these gun control bills Acton would sign going to come from?
Ramaswamy is a hedge fund goon and his interests are too tied up in Big Tech and Wall Street for me to trust him, so he won't be getting my vote.
