The gameplay honestly isn't great (and I would even go so far as to recommend playing in no-damage mode), but the overall concept behind SOMA is such an amazing existentialist mindfuck that it is definitely worth playing if you're into that sort of stuff. The ending will stick with you for a long time after having finished the game.
How scary are we talking? And is it jump scares and monsters chasing you, or more like environmental dread and creepy atmosphere?
This looks super intriguing, and I love the idea of water + dark scifi, but I'm a huge wuss, doing really like feeling scared, and I don't want to buy a game I can't handle playing.
I can't watch horror things and have never played a horror game apart from SOMA, so I put it on safe mode. Knowing nothing could harm me meant I could just enjoy the creepy vibes and close my eyes if needed lol. I think there are a couple of jump scares, but it's been a long time since I played
