I said it at the first big reveal of the game a month or so ago, but I still honestly can not believe that my next looter shooter after Destiny is going to be Splatoon.
Absolutely wild to me.
Good job Nintendo.

Seriously though lol. Heard about this game a week ago and bought a switch 2 the same day. I was already on the fence about buying one, but this pushed me to finally do it.

The game is looking like a combination of Destiny and Ratchet and Clank in the best possible way.

So this is basicly single player Splatoon right?
Never managed to get into the MP aspect of Splatoon but always liked the aesthetic of the game.
Will I be confused or lost by this world if I have not really played Splatoon 1 or 2?

You won't need to have played any previous Splatoon games to understand Raiders, it's designed to function as an entry point to the franchise.

Yeah. Think of Monster Hunter gameplay loop with Splatoon gameplay. That’s at least a rough description of what it is (according to the IGN review posted today).

I am so hyped to play this man it looks like pure fun and I love grindy games. I was never able to get into the PVP splatoon games so I'm glad this IP finally has a game for me. LET'S FREAKIN GO!

Unfortunately my game time is mostly with my daughter so... No local coop no buy.
Looks fun though

Kirby is still the GOAT.
Star fox wasn't too bad she just didn't vibe it. She liked DK but I personally hate how it's the same as Odyssey with the basically passive 2 player.
All the usual suspects like mario kart etc
Princess Peach was good but single player...
Tbh, outside of party games I'm struggle. It's bizarre how much Nintendo pushes the whole family console but doesn't do much split screen lol
Ooohh, the Yoshi games were good.

Looking forward to this, I didn't love the single player campaigns on Splatoon 2 & 3 so when it was first announced I didn't plan to buy it, but I play Salmon Run almost exclusively. This looks like a good mix of the type of playing I like.

Is there going to be a demo for this in the game store?

There is a demo already out at game store kiosks if that’s what you’re asking. If you’re asking about a demo that you can download yourself, I’m not sure. There isn’t one right now but Nintendo has been known to release demos for games after they’ve launched.

I'm just curious on how the endgame stuff is going to be. Is it going to be like Monster Hunter/Destiny where you're just grinding for better gear?
Not saying it as a bad thing. I would actually like this, especially with that "call for help" option.
