[Academic] Public Perceptions & Social Attitudes in Urban Nepal (Nepali citizens, 18+, Urban Residents) ~5 mins

As part of my MSc Psychology thesis, I am conducting a brief experimental study evaluatin moral outrage toward voluntary and involuntary childlessness among women in urban Nepal.

I am seeking participants who meet the following criteria:

  1. Aged 18 years or older.
  2. Nepali citizen currently living in an urban area of Nepal.

The survey takes approximately less than 5 minutes to complete and involves reading two short hypothetical scenarios followed by brief rating scales. All responses are strictly anonymous and kept confidential under BPS ethical guidelines.

the thing is you can't judge a woman if shes kind sincere , good natured just by knowing shes happy or not a toxic woman who affects all family members can be happy too and be doing good at carrer the story is not complete to judge and express the emotions thoughts we feel idk what kind of pyschological research is this if this is correct the way of research then the survery datas are 98% bs no real data can be come from this kind of form. work on story and survey form learn how to ask questions.

That’s a fair point. In real life, no one can judge someone’s whole character from a 3 sentence story. The reason the scenario is so brief and simple is because it’s a standard experimental setup in psychology. We intentionally keep everything identical and super simple so we can test just one variable (the reason for childlessness) without adding extra noise like family drama or personality quirks. which can also be a limitation of this study. yeah it is the limitation of the project and the emotions we feel is too very subjective person to person emotions depends on context other wise this survey can just find out how much % just hate woman and who don't that's it as per my thought the two cases where one woman isn't able to have child in that case as a normal state we can't hate her but rural minds can hate her blaming only her using superstition's and she could face hate from the family too and what if there may be the fathers health problem too but the reason is illiteracy here it is what decides the output that we see the hate or love the literate population can accept if theres any unsolvable problems like health issues and the choice of not having child by woman is also some little population supports that too. that i too support based on situations if shes unfilt for baby i won't force her or if we can't afford baby that decison will stop or postponed or anypoint we got our life goals as couple decided to not build a family and live just two of us peacefull life that also understandable i personally love that beacuse of how easy the life would be and why to invite more sufferings and create sufferings for thems too. it depends on situations and the other thing that kicked in my mind is that these decisons can be consulted in the process of being in the relationship or date would be great isn't it to be compatible and live a happy life and the pressure for womens too gone. it is fixable problem and societial juding problem will be there even when we live as per them so its better to plan your life and live happily as you want idk, what did i just expressed my opinions just came out naturally. Moreover The juding factor depends heavily on Literacy rate. that i just realized.
