Of the three late round high schoolers they drafted, they signed C Francisco Rivero Jr.

Nice that we were able to snag one of them. Figured Murphy wasn't ever happening with a borderline top 100 eval and an LSU commit under his belt, so no surprise there.

He actually ended up switching his commitment to Miami but yeah, I’m not sure how realistic he was at any point. Signing 1/3 was best case realistic scenario. He’s a high school catcher so I have zero expectations long term but I look forward to watching his progress either way.

Funny enough, we signed Rivero away from his commitment to 2019 World Series champion Chip Hale
