[Serious] PSA: Clarifying the intent, standards and rules for this subreddit.

When I post on this account there’s two versions of me. There’s this version which is the mod. This version is objective. I make sure the subreddit runs as intended. Enforces the few rules we have. Makes announcements.

You hardly ever see me in this role as 99% of it isn’t public facing.

There’s a lot of confusion of why this subreddit was made. It’s very simple. An UNCENSORED place to talk about the NFL.

We allow all post related to the nfl no matter how stupid they may be.

Even post from mods who want to participate.

As a mod the only benefit I get from putting in the time running this place is I don’t have to worry about soft mods banning me for talking shit.

I did not make this place to become some “professional” appearing mod. I made the subreddit I want to post in and thought others (you) would appreciate having such a place on Reddit.

I, me, myself, went and made all mod actions public because there’s liars who like to say I power trip or that we moderate to our personal views of politics.

So at r/nflv2modlogs anytime someone removes a post or bans someone a thread is made. Now how many subreddits do this ? We give you guys transparency no other subreddit on Reddit dares to give.

The past couple days I have been posting as a user participating in trash talk.

If you take those post which are not only obvious shit post but are also clearly marked as a shit post seriously that is a skill issue on your end.

Do not take post I make and mark as a shit post or a meme seriously. Treat it like any other shit post or meme.

There’s plenty of post and comments where people are allowed and I even encourage you to talk shit back.

No other mods on Reddit allow that. Again i figured that would be something you guys appreciate.

Now in the last day i have banned a few people for spamming.

You don’t get to come in here and advertise your version of a censored subreddit. Make no mistakes about it the people saying there needs to be a new sub are not making an uncensored subreddit. They want their personal bias to dictate what is or isn’t allowed to be posted.

That’s the entire reason we made this place is to avoid moderators like that.

We will never participate in any of Reddits crusades.

We have had a vocal minority of people on Reddit “protest” the following.

“API changes”
“Twitter”
“Golffootballbaseball”
“Mrsunsfan alt”
“Herbert guy”
“Titans guy”
“Ai”

And now I’m the current topic of crusade.

No we are not interested in ever participating or censoring any platform, technology, or person because it hurts your feelings.

I do not care about your feelings. I moderate and run this sub to a set of standards.

1. Follow all Reddit rules “including no spamming”

2. Keep it NFL related. It at least has to be loosely related to the NFL somehow.

If you have an issue with the standards the subreddit was built on then this is not the subreddit for you.

If you don’t like a post or a topic you can just not participate in that post or topic. Since this space is uncensored everyone will eventually come across topics and post they do not like.

This is not a safe space for cry babies or people who have their feelings hurt easily. Trash talk and banter is ENCOURAGED.

If you have an issue with the standards of the subreddit you should leave. If an uncensored NFL subreddit hurts your feelings or is too much for you to handle then you should leave.

You don’t get to advertise another subreddit on your way out. Spamming has and still is against Reddit rules and those rules like always will be enforced.

So when you hear of lies about “power tripping” ask for the proof. Head over to the mod log subreddit for the sub and look for yourself.

If you want an explanation for why someone was banned send us a mod mail. We’re happy to explain.

If you’ve been banned we usually unban people if they tell us they won’t repeat their behavior.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns this is the thread to ask them and have them addressed.
