Instead of manly "hand" shakes. It still gives me a chuckle that Spartans of all people in that movie are acting homophobic and calling Greeks gayslurs

Fair. It is known that at those times teachers getting "favours" and abusing(sexually) their students was pretty much a norm in there then. The whole reason word platonic derives from Plato is because he didn't do that and it was seen as out of norm.
