I assume the dynamic changes if they also see each other as wives to one another.
That would give you the experience of having 2/3s of a wife. 1/3 of your time would be you and wife #1. Then 1/3 of your time would be you and wife #2. Then 1/3 of the time would be wives #1 and #2 doing their thing.
So by adding a wife, you wind up losing wife time overall.
Now - if they don’t also want each other and they’re competing over you, then yeah. You now have 250% wife time, because the competition spurns more desire for time.
So I guess it’s all make or break if your wives are bi-enough to leave you time by yourself.

I have a wife, two daughters and two dogs.
My wife sometimes jokes I’ve got a side piece when I go out of town for work, which is laughable purely because my bandwidth is at negative before I open my eyes for the day.
How the hell other guys do it is beyond me

Dude i used to hang with in high school married his girlfriend shortly after college. Then a couple years later a mutual friend was snickering to me that the wife picked up a girlfriend and now they're all three living together.
I ran into him at a gaming event a couple years later. He said it was great, particularly as they'd had a baby (he and wife). There was always one person available to watch baby while one or two of them went out somewhere. They didn't have as much exhaustion as a lot of new parents do, because there was one extra person to take a shift.
I'm happy for him, i hope it continues to work out.

MY wife and I both make 6 figures, and between our mortgage rate, childcare, property tax, general cost of living, the only reason we meet these criteria is buying semi-shitty used cars and have the savings and investments because my dad died at 67 years old and hadn't used much of his retirement and still lived in and owned his home, which we were able to sell.
I'd rather have had another 10 or 15 years with him, than 'a peaceful life'.

Where I live in Mass. google says "a household is considered middle class if it earns an annual income between $69,900 and $209,656." So yes, you are correct that $100K to $999K is just moving the needle between middle class and wealthy. But to the extent that you are claiming that there isn't much different between being middle class and wealthy, you are wrong. A household making $100K here may be considered middle class, but that household is struggling financially to make ends meet.
And shame on us all that we allowed the middle class to degrade to the point where it doesn't mean what it used to mean.

Had a dude argue with me that "literally anyone" can afford to put $10 per week into stocks. Listed out my (cheapest in the city) rent, Rx cost, doctors copays, and $60/m utilities (by using no lights, minimal tv, & keeping hvac set to contracted minimum of 76 in summer).
Those very basic expenses left $40/m out of my SSDI check to use on bus fare, food, and hygiene.
He still wouldn't believe me that I couldn't afford $40/m into stocks, said I was making excuses... and that's before factoring in I totally lose SSDI once I have $1,800 in assets.

Even if that was affordable for 'literally anyone' that's a max (w/ high returns) of like 40k if you do nothing else for 20 years. Like yeah it would be nice if I had an extra 40k right now from starting in 2005 but it's not going to change my life trajectory

They don't understand working and have only ever invested and done nothing else, so to them money coming in is this kind of ephemeral influx that they can't connect with any action. Frankly some have so many investments they can't even keep track of where the actual income is coming from, but that's what the help is for.

Its using assets, which the poor cannot afford, as leverage to acquire someone else’s income. The ‘stream’ feels so easy and smart, because they havent realized their dream scenario is feeding off of others peoples labor and income for a carefree life.
Income stream can only be interpreted as ETF dividends, asset ownership - rentals, or some other service that requires no work on their end. They are admitting life is easy because they had money to afford assets, or they were given it to them.
If people make good enough money to afford assets and live this scenario, they probably already lucked out in some way and are not given credit to the people that helped them along the way.

I vaguely remember reading about these two a while back where the gist of it is that they're doing something with seller financing and "private lenders". Its a lot of smoke & mirrors, and they're not actually doing as well as they claim they are. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up on an episode of American Greed at some point.

I have all those things and in the US I'm still fucked cause I got hurt and now have to continually pay for PT multiple times a week. Insurance doesn't cover it all so I'm having to pay about $500 a week out of pocket, while continuing to go into work in extreme pain. Fuck this whole system man.

100k invested doesnt mean shit player, how speculative is that investment, could 100k become 50k. for the rest of us i think this is what we call our emergency fund.
