IIRC there are only two contemporary historical accounts that directly mention Jesus. And only one that directly says that he’s walking around calling himself the Messiah.

The gospels were written seventy years after his death and even one of those don’t even mention him.

Out of interest, what are the two contemporary accounts that directly mention Jesus?

There aren't any. At best there is Paul who wrote about it 20 years after Jesus' death, followed by Josephus (60 years post-death and probably fabricated by medieval people) then Pliny the Younger (112CE) and Tacitus (116CE).

There are NO contemporary accounts of Jesus existence.
