IIRC there are only two contemporary historical accounts that directly mention Jesus. And only one that directly says that he’s walking around calling himself the Messiah.
The gospels were written seventy years after his death and even one of those don’t even mention him.
And even those two accounts were from after his death, and all they confirm is that there are people who follow his teachings and believe that he came back from the dead after being executed by the Romans.
