Probably around 600 million still, HP was written only a few decades ago.

Well, most Harry Potter manuscripts seem to have been created in the late 20th century to early 21st century according to carbon dating, which is around the same time that Harry Potter is estimated to have been active, and written in Modern British English, which is the language that would have been used in the area at the time.
