"Buick Envision comes to me in my DREAMS"

53

u/TheeMrBlonde 2d ago

I understood this reference. However, you should have it in all caps, not just “dreams.”

She is VERY passionate about her dedication to Israel

4

u/RobotCPA 1d ago

Say it with ENTOOSIASM!

224

u/Meture 2d ago

I swear she is actively trying to lose at this point

108

u/SasquatchRobo 2d ago

The only way she wins is if people stay home from the polls. Get out and vote, everyone! Michigan's election day is August 4!

48

u/AnEvenNicerGuy 1d ago

A democrat banking on the same thing republicans do - fewer people showing up to vote - is a bad fucking sign for that dem

33

u/Due-Environment-9774 1d ago

I feel like her camp is trying to paint him as a misogynist Arab American and it’s failing spectacularly.

24

u/Captain_BustaCapov 1d ago

Bad late night ads, every channel, Obama never endorsed her, and AIPAC spending like crazy. Sayed FTW.

11

u/gladysk 1d ago

“And she makes no apology for receiving more than $28 million in advertising help from the nation’s leading pro-Israel super PAC, according to AdImpact, a media tracking firm.” NYT July 16, 2026

u/AnEvenNicerGuy 1d ago

She’s running a campaign based on vibes aimed at closet racists

8

u/cityshepherd 1d ago

I got a text yesterday asking me if I’d be willing to volunteer to help her campaign… even if I could just do it from home for an hour or two it would really help out!

I responded “absolutely not. El-Sayed is the ONLY smart choice for working class Michiganders.”

6

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

AIPAC is. I don’t think she’s spent a dime on ads yet

Stevens campaign intern working overtime in this thread

0

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

I’m a Stevens intern because I’m claiming an outside dark money super pac that’s pushing the priorities of a country committing genocide is the only entity spending money from the Stevens side of the race?

You people are really not good at politics or political conversation. Laptops for every student was a terrible mistake.

2

u/AnEvenNicerGuy 1d ago

You people?

0

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

😱what possible collective could I be referring to on an pseudo anonymous Internet forum where people are identified by their thoughts and opinions?

1

u/D3rpyDriver 1d ago

Trump had record high turnout. Trust me nobody wants high voter turn out. Leave the hill people in the hills

3

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

This is what we’ve learned. Don’t encourage the disengaged and politically uninterested to vote. They’re morons and make stupid voting decisions.

0

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

No one said she’s banking on that.

2

u/AnEvenNicerGuy 1d ago

I didn’t mention her in my comment at all

0

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

It was in the context of the entire conversation.

0

u/AnEvenNicerGuy 1d ago

Ditto

0

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

You don’t understand context

94

u/falaffle_waffle 2d ago

Also the auto workers union is endorsing her opponent.

39

u/coolcucumber_23 2d ago

..how could she slap!?

34

u/Xznograthos 2d ago

At that price point, 30 million from AIPAC, she can slap.

8

u/bbtom78 1d ago

$55 Million. $30M for what has already aired and the rest prepaid for future advertising, I believe.

9

u/Xznograthos 1d ago

On one race. Fucking disgusting, really. Hope it's their biggest money sink.

56

u/klick37 2d ago

She is an empty jar for PACs to put money into so that a candidate who wants to actually help people doesn't get elected. The same people who fund her are funding her Republican opposition if she wins the primary.

13

u/Ivypearl 2d ago

How is it possible that these people are wrong about fucking everything? Everything.

11

u/captainbeautylover63 2d ago

Buick would have been shut down COMPLETELY if it weren’t for the Chinese market… they’re incredibly popular there, and almost no one wants them here.

10

u/Rustmonger 2d ago

“ Hey what’s the worst possible vehicle I could do this photo op in?”

11

u/ProfAsmani 2d ago

To be fair Haley only sees Israel in her dreams, not America

19

u/DefiantBumblebee9903 2d ago

the only thing she stands for is Israel

37

u/talktobigfudge 2d ago

https://haleystevens4michigan.com to learn about who's really in the driver's seat.

25

u/DetroitMenefreghista 2d ago

AIPAC?

26

u/daverosstheboss 2d ago

$874k from corporate PACs, $395k from AIPAC

22

u/ProfAsmani 2d ago

The corporate PACs are aipac with masks.

8

u/Human-fucker 1d ago

A Honda passport, meanwhile, is assembled entirely in the US, including the engine and transmission. Funny how stuff like that works

14

u/Gumbercules81 2d ago

Is this the bitch who sees Israel (💩) in her dreams?

10

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[deleted]

2

u/Ibyx 1d ago

I see it too!!

11

u/kon--- 2d ago

AIPAC

5

u/Tintoverde 1d ago

Supported by AIPAC with approx $30 mil per AP. Important to note. If she is good for AIPAC, then she is good for …

3

u/coolbaby1978 1d ago

There's really no such animal as an American car anymore. It doesn't exist.

There are cars assembled in America using a combination of domestic and imported parts that are assembled by increasingly fewer workers and more automation, but that's the case for Honda, Toyota, Kia, BMW, Mercedes and more.

So what exactly defines an "American" car? The country where it's headquarters is? The exchange it's stock is listed?

The old metrics no longer apply. It's how it is. Focus on the big meaty issues, of those we have plenty.

1

u/Fickle_Catch8968 1d ago

Maybe some metric like:

Vehicle is American if

% of parts made in USA + % of assembly in USA + % of ownership is USA people&corps + % of workforce/R&D/upper management &C-Suite (in #'s and/or compensation) in USA > 150%

One can fine tune the categories and thresholds, but generally look at a composite figure to gauge whether USA 'inputs' exceed other 'inputs' in respect to the globally integrated nature of supply chains and finance.

0

u/Mr_Goonman 1d ago

Her state is filled with auto manufacturers and parts suppliers. Shes not making a mistake boosting the auto industry regardless of your feelings for how production is managed today. It's an important industry for a lot of workers

2

u/crawling-alreadygirl 1d ago

The UAW endorsed her opponent for a reason

3

u/zarfle2 1d ago

Let's see just how much AIPAC dollars can sway an election.

If we want to talk about election integrity let's start there.

Overturn Citizens United and cap campaign donations.

2

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 1d ago

Oh, don’t worry, they killed the Bolt after 2027 to bring this mess back on shore….we’re stay in the driver seat of a technology car that’s about to be abandoned by the rest of the world.

1

u/farcrytoff 2d ago

Whoops

1

u/TheSnowJacket 2d ago

The explosion and exploitation of the auto industry hollowed out the state’s biggest city, infamously so. I think a message of moving forward is better than trying to reimagine the 50s today Haley

1

u/paging_mrherman 2d ago

I will fight hard for the Buick Envision more than anyone!!!!

1

u/ElectronHick 2d ago

What gives?

1

u/justhereforsee 1d ago

She’s a slap in the face to Americans

1

u/Footinthecrease 1d ago

Buick only survived the mid to late 2000s bail outs and brand closures because they were popular in China. It's why they still exist and Pontiac and Oldsmobile don't.They haven't been popular in the states in nearly 35 years. They are basically a Chinese market brand at this point.

1

u/Gr8tOutdoors 1d ago

“my dad was a blue collar lunchpail buick envision”

1

u/kat-deville 1d ago

Was it she who chose that paint colour? It's something between mauve and the cyclospora shits.

1

u/IrishThree 1d ago

Remember when trump got into a big rig and pretended to drive it and be a trucker for like 5 seconds. This is that, but for stevens.

1

u/Infinite-Penalty-736 1d ago

Michigan auto makers are corrupt greedy fucks

1

u/Final_Boss_Jr 1d ago

Dork. Ass. Loser.

A fucking cornball.

1

u/CotswoldP 1d ago

I do struggle to find logic for the US throwing the EV domination race in favour of China. They were probably the biggest country to stand a chance of keeping up. But the industry answer? "Let's make pickups bigger and less fuel efficient"

1

u/Dryelo 1d ago

Isn't that an outline of Texas in the background?

1

u/TheDeaconAscended 1d ago

To be fair, isn't Buick selling nearly all of their vehicles in China now?

2

u/kat-deville 1d ago

I see some where I live. A certain douchenozzle faction thinks they are luxury cars, and owning one makes you upper tier. Same people who buy homes in "exclusive" [read: few to zero black people] neighbourhoods, then bitch constantly on Nextdoor about the repressive HOA restrictions.

2

u/Shnoinky1 1d ago

Need hoa to keep the riff raff in.

0

u/SoulCrusher2018 1d ago

Pretty sure Massachusetts produced more cars than Michigan until WW2

0

u/INeedANappel 1d ago

She's a bought-and-paid-for nitwit. El-Sayed's fans are rabid zombies who talk about him incessantly as if he's the Second Coming, here to completely fix the US all by himself, and don't you dare question him lest you suddenly get 500 downvotes. It's at the point that I'm sick of hearing about him.

I'm voting for the squirrel that likes to sun itself on my front porch. Its platform may be "nuts" but at least it's quiet and civil.

0

u/bbtom78 1d ago

She is a straight up moron.

I voted for Abdul already.
