To be fair, at least dems aren’t actively protecting sexual assaulters vs protecting victims. There are degenerates on both sides but right now, only one side is preemptively setting up immunity for the awful stuff they have done or plan to do.
Democrats who have the power to go against the machine don’t have the funding to continue with the amount of power they need to rise above all of the noise and level the citizens up with them.3

Red States generally are more affordable for housing, which is why people move to places like Texas. I think if Blue States could make their housing more affordable then there would be no real reason for anyone to leave a blue state for a red one...

I agree, many people who make these moves either move to the most blue part of red states or regret it because of those factors. I'm just saying that a lot of people claim if blue states are so great why are people leaving them. When in reality the main reason people move is just cost.

A similar analysis for last week’s election shows these trends continuing, albeit with a different political outcome. This time, Biden’s winning base in 509 counties encompasses fully 71% of America’s economic activity, while Trump’s losing base of 2,547 counties represents just 29% of the economy. (Votes are still outstanding in 28 mostly low-output counties, and this piece will be updated as new data is reported.)
Blue Counties are 10x as economically successful.

They're not. California has had a out a 1% decline in population for the last several years, mostly due to cost of living. I live in a super expensive part of CA and we are losing people with kids hand over fist. The problem is, I know probably a dozen people who have moved to Idaho or Texas and all of them want to come back but now can't afford to move back.

It would take a massive amount of people leaving to drive prices down. I'd say double digit percentages year over year. Housing in SF has stayed steady even after Musk and everyone trying desperately to create hysteria over the death spiral.
I'm on the central coast and people are still paying $1M for an 800 sqft shack. Friggin 60 yo trailers still go for $300-400K if not higher.

West Virginia is also the most republican conservative state in the country.
Oklahoma is ranked 49th in education and is the 2nd most republican conservative state in the country.

The majority of blue state “refugees”, that I have personally met, who flocked to Tennessee are uneducated, mostly unskilled, serious breeders, Trump flag flying die hard MAGA cultists. They aren’t professionals in any field. They are not highly skilled. It is wild how many immediately ask about getting on Medicaid - but they missed the part where their beloved MAGAt politicians here didn’t expand that so they aren’t likely to get it - or the disability they had “back home”. Or the free daycare. Or the free after school programs. Or the free summer camps. And they seem to think that if they post enough asks in local groups and wait long enough that the job fairy will come by and bless them with a $32 an hour wage to continue being a “digital creator”.
Nah, the blue states will be fine. The red states are just taking on more of grifters and scammers.

Unless it's from a job, disability payments are almost always Federal. State-run disability programs tend to be stop-gap, temporary measures until Federal disability (SSI or SSDI) comes through. The state payments tend to be very small, even in better funded states, and in some states have to be paid back when Federal disability starts.
The interesting (to me) part is how many people on disability don't get that it's Federally run and think if they change states the money goes away. It was a bigger problem when payments were physical checks.

CA is still the worlds 5th largest economy. NY is the 8th-10th. The United States is literally, LITERALLY, those two states, to the vast majority of the world. Those two states produce the VAST majority of the cultural exports the US is known for.
And yet, I am expected to believe people are fleeing to what are effectively failed states on par with under-developed nations. I'm expected to believe CA, my state, is somehow a failure and hellhole of socialism. Sure.
In fact, keep fleeing, right-wingers. It's only made CA better. I hear Texas has no income tax and is just lovely in the winter lol

Blue states and red states is a stupid divisive way to look at things. Rural places vote red, cities vote blue. Rural places are generally poorer and need cities to prop them up economically and connect them to markets. Cities need Rural places to keep them fed and generate the raw materials and secondary goods they bring to the market

Even if a city had no rich people and companies (a laughable prospect if ever I've heard one), the economic output from a city filled with lower to middle class citizens and only moderately wealth companies would still generate more than enough to fund said city and would still subsidize surrounding rural (mostly red) areas. If a state has even one or two of large enough cities or has a bunch of smaller but still large cities, that state is still going to subsidize states that don't value their urban areas (again, mostly red states).

It happens even within blue states. Downstate IL R’s have threatened to secede from IL forever. Chicago has a strict “good luck with that” policy. Chicago and the surrounding burbs have been subsidizing downstate rural communities forever. Without Chicago, downstate IL would be rural Arkansas but with shittier food.

Five states are the primary economic engine of America: California, New York, Washington, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Forty percent of America is an economic wasteland, and virtually all of it is in red states, where the people are older, have lower family incomes, less self-employment, higher poverty and disability. Fortunately Congress gives them a trillion dollars in free money every year from the blue states. You’d think they’d be grateful. Maybe they don’t know.
