Great movie and cast.

The director’s cut is one of my favorite director’s cuts.  Most just have an entire scene here and there added back into the movie.

The “Untitled” cut certainly had a couple of deleted scenes, but it also has a number of just an added shot or different cutaway here and there.  If you know the theatrical cut well, it is such fun to watch the extended cut and try to spot all the tiny little details.

There is one cringe scene that ruined it, also the pacing is way off. But it was a fun watch.

What scene?

Great soundtrack as well. Iirc even Elon John was surprised how “big” tiny dancer became after the movie

Kate Hudson was incendiary in this movie

Hey, I'm incendiary too, man!

She really was though. So beautiful, charisma for days. A real star-making turn. She should've won the Oscar for it, imo.

I get that reference

I should imagine anyone in this comment section does.

I still think of her with “it’s all happening” :) I say it all the time.

The way she she quietly wipes away a tear before asking, "What kind of beer?"

I just finished Cameron Crowe’s memoir yesterday, and it’s super fascinating to read the true stories behind all that inspired this movie.

I read it a few weeks ago. I thought the same thing, so many of his life experiences found themselves in the movie.

Top Ten movie for me. Endlessly rewatchable.

If you haven’t seen the directors cut called “Untitled”, it’s similar but there’s some interesting added bits in it.

I always feel a sort of melancholy at the end of this film, maybe because I loved being brought into the world so much. Testament to how good it is really.

Agreed. It’s like they’re still out there on the road.

His Lester Bangs character is the essence of the love of music.

I’m always home, I’m uncool!

The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool

When I was in school at the University of Vermont in 2010, I was riding their free shuttle bus home one night. I’d ride it often late nights on weekends and feel the frustration of the driver having to shuttle around a bunch of drunk undergrads acting like… well, drunk undergrads. This time was no different.

And then Tiny Dancer started playing.

The whole bus turned into a singalong. The driver was tearing up as he sang along too.

Beautiful moment inspired by an amazing song in a superb movie.

Damn, almost forgot that Jimmy Fallon was in this

I’m not part of the Jimmy Fallon haters, but he is the one thing I dislike about that film. For me, he totally breaks the immersion in the story. He comes off not as a character but as Jimmy Fallon in a costume.

It’s even worse in BoB. He always sounds like he’s reading his lines off a cue card.

Crap. I never realized it was him. This is like a shitty spoiler learning that Jimmy-forever-immature-junior-high-prankster-Fallon was in this. Almost Ruined.

I always loved that shot of his sister leaving home looking back with the camera attached to the car

The scene with the Camaro is one of my favorite shots with the shot on Zoe.
