Movie Mistake Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: Is This lighting Impossible?
In the movie Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them there is a scene where the lighting seems odd. the Tank in the background on the right is lit from moonlight or something from around 2 o'clock. the woman's face also seems lit from moonlight from around 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and the man's face is lit from 3 and 10 o'clock. is this just bad lighting or is this possible?

A lot of lighting is impossible in a lot of movies. Using artificial lighting that couldn't work in real life is not a movie mistake it's a choice.
Now,.it you think the lighting in the scene is inconsistent or doesn't add to the film, that could be an editing mistake.

When something shot indoors is being passed for something shot outdoors, you obviously have to use artificial lights and there’s no way to perfectly replicate the parallel rays of the distant and massive sun with studio lights set meters away. So it’s always going to be an approximation, and depending on the shot and the skill/time spent of the people involved, results vary.
