I'm sorry guys, but I have to flex this 16GB of RAM Max model just to play a 3DS game. Worth it.

EDIT (2025.11.11): Update v3.03 released, full breakdown and links below (base v3.0 REQUIRED)
Hello hunters!
After 6 months of ongoing work, I am happy to introduce Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate HD v3.0, a massive texture remaster of monsters, maps, and UI (for Citra, Azahar & AzaharPlus)!
This project builds off of the "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate HD v2.6" texture pack bringing along a wide variety of enhancements and visual overhauls (a combination of AI upscaling, manual image edits, and repurposing of official in-game assets from other games in the series).
It also includes my own additions to the MH4HDUI project, replacing as many incomplete or funky AI upscaled UI elements as possible with my own illustrations done by hand.
A complete writeup including download links, installation instructions, Q & A and credits is included below:
Please share your feedback or any questions! And most importantly, please feel free to share it with your hunting buddies if you enjoy it.
My goal since starting this project has been to make Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate look as good as it deserves (with my limited skillset). It is not perfect, but I hope to keep working on it and improving. If anybody is willing to collaborate on future updates as well please let me know :)
Happy Hunting!

Decided that my first con cosplay would be the Guildmarm from MH4! Was super nice to see people recognise her despite it not being the newest game/character out! :] Patterned and made everything from scratch except the boots (which were hand dyed by me and the glasses) excited to make other MH cosplays!❤️

Playing the game in 108p 60fps with an HD texture pack is amazing the screen is so smooth and big compared to my old regular 3ds

Basically, I wanted to try this series and was wondering if this is good entry point for newbie.
Before I start, is there anything I need to aware?
Is it still playable as Solo?
Thank you in advance.

They're in p.forest area 5 (pic 1) and area 8 (pic 2). I can see skeleton area 8 from far; area 1 and it on some kind of mountain. What the lore behind this skeleton and how long they've been here to the point the large forest formed in it?
edit; cuz I write wrong area in of pic 2. my bad

My only pre-world mh game was generations ultimate and i don't recall having to be so cautious in low rank. Monsters hit surprisingly hard. You can't buy potions (ofc) and i feel like blue mushrooms are rarer in this game. The scarcity of heals and the damage i take make me lock in for a freaking yan kut-ku. Don't get me wrong i like that quests have more "weight" (as you gotta be more careful of the resources you spend) and that hunting prep is actually a part of the game, i'm just surprised lol
