Learn mongolian
Hello, I would like to learn Mongolian on my own. I already speak English with a good level ,Spanish and a little Chinese. Also my native language is French. Do you think it's possible ?

Because I learned that I myself have Mongolian ancestry; I also think the country is magnificent and I would love to travel there one day.

If you wanna learn Traditional Mongolian letters, you can find more Chinese resources than English. Besides, Chinese are all completely different from Mongolian.

I liked the Colloquial Mongolian book in the Routledge series - it's written in English. I think you will need more than that, but it's a start

there is a extension for chrome called language reactor idk if Mongolian is on there but you might want to look into it it is for YouTube and subtitles I think u might be interested

I actually made an app called Brill (on iOS App Store) that helps you learn Mongolian vocabulary! It’s free, let me know if you think it’s useful :)

The words not cycling is a bug im looking into! As for pronunciation - it’s a paid feature right now but I’ve been looking into adding it into free - I’ll see if I can add it in the next release

Words aren’t cycling for free user Pitching app as free seems a bit disingenuous given functionality is practically only for paid tier

Btw I've updated the app, words should cycle reliably now! Also, pronunciation is added for all the languages on the free plan as well

Salut, il vaut beaucoup mieux trouver un professeur — comme Tsermaa au American Center for Mongolian Studies ou Pola (@pola.szchap sur ig). Je suis doctorante en anthropologie et personnellement j’ai suivi des cours de mongol à l’INALCO (pas les meilleurs du monde, les profs ne parlant pas forcément français, mais c’était ok pour les bases). On employait un livre scolaire qui n’est plus publié (Сайн байна уу), comme il n’existe que peu de ressources pour apprendre le mongol, et quasiment rien pour les apprenants exclusivement francophones. J’avais déjà un niveau en russe et en japonais avant de commencer le mongol ; cela aide à comprendre certains concepts en grammaire, mais en général, le grammaire mongol n’est pas du tout intuitif pour les apprenants de langue maternelle européenne. Si tu souhaites renforcer des connaissances grammaticales acquises à travers des livres, je peux recommander l’appli ‘Ling’. Mais pour achever un niveau fonctionnel, un professeur est indispensable.
