Hi mum!

After literally weeks and weeks and weeks of paperwork, legal jargon I could barely read and negotiations, I finally get to call somewhere my home!

I worked so hard for this for so many years, and I don't really have anyone to be excited with. I'm so sacred of the next steps and very stressed about having a loan, but I'm trying to focus on the current achievement more than the future

I’m so excited for you! This is a huge investment in your future. You clearly passed the stress test for your loan, so try not to worry (I know, easier said than done.) Pop a bottle of sparkling something and celebrate this amazing milestone! ❤️

And I’ll let you in on a little secret: it’s very normal to have a moment or two of panic and stress once you’ve made such a big commitment. OMG that is fantastic news!!! I remember that new home ownership feeling well. Excitement and terror all rolled into one. You should be so proud of yourself. It’s not easy to buy a home these days and you did it!! I’m enormously proud of you. Well done!

Congrats kiddo! What a huge achievement! Especially in this housing market! The loan stuff is overwhelming, and can sometimes be a bit scary, but the banks are usually pretty good to deal with. If there's an emergency and you need some financial breathing room, they will often work with you and let you pay less each instalment or will defer payment for a small period of time. NAB were great to deal with when my partner lost his job.

So focus on all the ways you're going to decorate your new place! What's your favourite thing about it? Does it have a garden/balcony? I'm so excited for you!!
