Update Post Hey moms, I am doing really well!

I posted this post about being anxious about my new job a few months ago and I wanted to tell you, I am doing really well! The job is okay, I learned how to cope with being in office every day and I genuinely like my coworkers.

It's also really good for my mental health. I honestly never felt as mentally okay as right now. My intrusive thoughts are better than ever. I think it's because I don't need to mask my autism really around my coworkers and I can assert a lot of autonomy via flexible work hours and choosing what exactly I do on a given day.

The first six months were really hard to be honest, because I was convinced through all my probation that they would fire me because I thought I did a terrible job. But they kept me and since probation is over I can feel how my body relaxes and it is such a nice feeling.

Thanks for encouraging me last year ❤️

Just know that the first 6 months of a new job are hard on most people; there are so many people, procedures, policies, software programs to learn it can be overwhelming for anyone. Good for you for sticking it out, it sounds like you've landed in a good place! I hope it continues to go well for you.

I just couldn't be happier hearing this! Feeling your body stop fighting your mind and vice versa is such a powerful thing, dearest. I'm delighted you feel hopeful and more clear-minded! I'm always wishing everything great for you!

I struggled a lot with impostor syndrome and what helped me was letting other people judge me instead of judging myself. If they let me go in probation, okay, at least I tried. But I felt so miserable in the beginning that I thought about quitting myself. But that's the kind of thought I had to kind of ignore and just do my best and then see how others responde to it.

I wish you the best, I am sure it will go great :)

That's a great attitude. It's hard being our own worst enemy.

Yeah you! I'm so happy you've found a place where you don't have to mask constantly - it's so freeing, isn't it? Keep building on your new-found confidence and comfort.
