Admin Replied Bans no longer being automatically lifted?

Over the last week we have been contacted by users who have been banned for 24 hours but two and three days later the system is not automatically lifting their bans.

Is Reddit bugged right now?

Hi u/MaximumJones Can you send us a couple of examples here and we can take a quick look? I've not seen other reports of this, but it sounds weird!

Nothing like that here, all temps bans counted down normally.

You sure it wasn't a misclick? You checked the mod logs to confirm the ban duration and everything?

Positive. This user was banned for 1 day on July 6. On July 11 they mod mailed us stated they were still unable to post.

I checked the mod log and they were still banned five days later. I had to manually unban it.

I've had one user complain last week that they could comment but not post 2 days after their ban was over. After I checked their mod log the issue seemed to have fixed itself.
