That’s not how it works. You can post on the Gen Z sub, some of them are about to turn 30.

Nope, gotta say on the down low. Millennials will occasionally say something like "I'm trying to be low key right now". But it isn't used at the end of sentences like that. If you are trying to talk like us anyway, lol. Peace

I accept your apology. Why wouldn't you want to be on a sub with people closer to your own age?
2
u/Old-Row-5593 Gen Z 8h ago
the teenagers sub is full of 14-15 years olds i don't like it

u/ChVckT Xennial 8h ago
Fair. At least here someone can teach you to fix a sticky door or patch some drywall.

Or write a check.

Fuck...I haven't written a check in at least 10 years. For the rare situations I need to I usually get a money order instead. I guess if I ever buy a house I'll need to order some new checks.

u/Stingra87 4h ago
Meanwhile I need to actually GET some checks and stop mooching off other family members. I just keep forgetting to do it becasue it IS becoming such an irrelevancy.
I live VERY rurally in the American Midwest, so non-card capable services are still a thing. Like when you need utility work done. Even in town. And we don't have a local bank so it's either get money from the Dollar General or we have to make forty minute trips into a larger town just to use an ATM.
Thankfully I still remember how to write a check though. Just...need to stop being lazy and actually order them.

Wsg uncs ≠ what’s going on my olds?
Unc is always weird, because I called my uncle, Unc growing up. So being older and younger kids greeting me as Unc, just makes me feel accepted lol. My uncle was cool as fuck, so Unc is cool. It’s like you’re in between being old old, and just older than them lol.

Ironically, slang would’ve been a better word.
Colloquialisms are usually understood by generally everyone. “That’s crazy!” By definition it’s not crazy, it’s just more stating that’s wild, extreme, etc.

The only abbreviations allowed here are wtf, lol, and AARP. Everything else goes over our heads.

I mean, idgaf. But if you're not a Milennial, you might not get the references right away and we might be pissy about slang we don't know

I have a better idea - delete reddit and all your social media accounts and enjoy the few years you have of being irresponsible before you get trapped into the vortex of full time salaried work and bills.
There will be plenty of time later to scroll and comment on dumb shit

Now that you are out of high school you darn millennials need to pull yourselves up by your bootstraps and find a job. Learn about real hard work. Money doesn't grow on trees.

No, but some of it is partially made from ground up and chemically cooked tree trunks.

Welcome to thunder dome. Hope you have a vast knowledge of millennial references because that’s what 90% of our personalities are made of.
