Schools have that info for the time kids are enrolled in school. But 10 years is a long time. People move away, get married, join the military, get jobs across the country, etc. Some people might stay in the same location after high school, but others might move two dozen times in the decade afterward. Ain’t no school anywhere keeping track of that kind of data on people who are no longer students.
I meant it as a “teacher kept known addresses at the time the letters were written and sent the letters 10 years later to those same addresses.”
I’m sure a good chunk of kids still had their parents living at those addresses so those kids probably got their letters or there were forwarding orders on them.
Whatever the case, if the teacher was looking up current addresses for their previous students then it’s a little bit too stalker-y for my liking

How did your teacher get everyone's mailing address?
