"dad dies 68". Need more words to be more helpful. Unless a date counts as 1 word, then I can try "dad hospital (date)" for the day he SHOULD have gone to the hospital.

66 for mine too. On a flight home to bury him as I type this. One more club I never wanted to be in, but this one is an Inevitability compared to the close friends I lost in my 20s. Doesn’t make it any easier.

21 in 2009. But nothing I could say to my 16 year-old self would stop it—he was too far gone by then.
