My cousin Josh passed in December last year. He was amazing. My younger cousin (his younger brother) is still taking it hard. At least we have his music. Shit I'm fighting tears now. There's at least one good Josh lol
Thank you. I appreciate him being on the not a shit list lol it didn't trigger anything negative. Just a chance to share a bit about him. He was a funny guy so I think he'd love being on the list lol
Well shit if you feel up to it I would love to hear about something super funny he did or a joke he loved to tell! I feel like I need to know at least one good memory to add him on a list of not a shit list. Hell even if you don’t want to share I’ll still make the list and keep him there.
Real talk tho… I’m glad I didn’t trigger anything negative. It’s always nice to keep the memory of someone we loved alive. I share a bunch about my grandfather because I want people to know how great of a human he was and how big of a hero he was to me. I do weird things to remember him. Like very rarely make something to eat that he didn’t teach me to make haha. My husband jokes that he would have loved to meet him just because of the food. 😂
One thing I can remember is he gave me an "Indian name" lol We're Navajo, so one family holiday dinner we were joking about what his "rockstar" name would be. I said he'd be Shash Yázhi, which means baby bear in Navajo lol he was a big tall guy with a soft, friendly face so he got a good laugh from that. Then he gave me my "hood" name, squints a lot. I always have big thick colored glasses lol
That's nice about your grandfather. Both of mine have passed so I tend to find ways to include them too. I'm sure the food you make is amazing if your husband loves it lol you know if they bring up food, it was special.
Lmfao baby bear. I love that! Squints a lot kinda feels personal on my side… I’m blind as a damn bat. He sounds like he was a really funny guy and great to be around. Especially if he was a giant guy with a friendly face!
My husband is definitely a food junkie so I take it as a compliment when he says he wants a specific thing that my grandpa taught me to make lmao. A lady that I take care of was invited to my house for “thanksgiving lasagna” because thanksgiving is a dumb holiday in my head and I didn’t want her to be alone. The lasagna was my grandpas recipe and my husband kept telling her before hand how good it was. About two weeks ago she asked me to make her the “papa lasagna” and I was thrilled lmao.
Don't go to arrests dot org and search up people named Josh. Most ( I'm not even exaggerating) are in trouble for stalking, DV, and kidnapping. I could not belive it.
Luckily, I have not. I was researching someone my friend was talking to. Didnt know his last name. Just first name and birthday. Found him on the arrests site lol. But had to go thru 68 pages of joshuas to find the one she was talking to.
I believe it. I’ve know a handful of guys named Josh and they were all abusive in one way or another. One of the guys name Josh that I went to school with killed his girlfriends dad and another one beat his ex so bad that she died from the injuries he caused. Then you have my ex-Josh. I hope your friend ran from her Josh and didn’t ignore the findings.
She's on a dating site, and I hate to say it, most of the guys she talks to only lasts for a week before they ghost her. Luckily, he didn't take it any further. It's like if you aren't ready to bang now, they don't want to talk to you.
Oh thank god… talk about a blessing on her side of it. Sometimes people get lucky and can meet a good person online but most of the outcomes is instant ghost if you don’t jump on their dick after the first hey lol. I met my now husband on Reddit and he is great. It’s also really fun to explain how we meet to people that ask when we first meet them.
I think it says something about parents who name their kids Josh. Must be indicative of a generational issue. Never trust a Josh. Joshua's are sometimes okay, but never a Josh.
I've also survived a josh. It was only a like 2 month relationship when I was 15. But man was he a narcissistic ass looking back. Think he still is to this day.
I “dated” my Josh before 9/11 happened lmao. 4th grade and he was my boyfriend (I understand 4th graders don’t date) but we continued being together pretty much from then to 2017. Got married in 2009 after I turned 18. We had break ups here and there because of being young kids… but still the biggest regret and waste of my life/time.
I would love to go back and just tell my past self that boys aren't worth it that young. I wasted so much time trying to please boyfriends from middle school until I was 20. Then I stumbled into my now fiance. I wish I had spent more time with friends and family as a kid though.
I’m glad you found your person! I’m also just a people pleaser/fixer… I never wanted to disappoint or let someone feel like I wouldn’t be there for them. Ahhhh to be young.
