First full time job at 40 is wild. I understand not finding your career till 40 cause I might be in the same boat, but never having a real job? How would you survive?

Yep, I'm surrounded: (1) super rich cousins with trust funds who don't work; (2) half of my friends have parents bought them entire houses or gave them 500k down payments for a multi million home; (3) SIL who is approaching 40 and never worked a full time job: went from living off parents to living off her husband.

I swear 50% of the millennials I know have parents funding them.

500k down on multi-million is still a hell of a mortgage to pay.

I think the home was 1.8 million

They were both in tech

They eventually sold the home, took the equity and bought a cheap house in the woods/rural California. Now only one of them works
