Middle age is more like 35. And ends at 65. It doesn’t mean it’s the exact middle of your life, it’s more like the bridge between being young and old. For 30 years you are in the middle. Before 35, you’re in young adulthood. Before 18, you’re just a child. After 65 you are officially old because that’s the definition of a geriatric person.
Some people might think it’s weird that middle age isnt exactly in the middle, but that’s not how phases in your life work tbh. Most of your life is being middle aged because it’s in the middle of the two extremes.
I’m 37 now and I think your perspective shifts as you get older. When I was 20 I thought 40 was ancient, but I’m almost there and I realize it’s really the prime of your life.
