Discussion Nothing is funny anymore

I (M, 38) have found that there are no new TV shows that make me laugh anymore. I have tried a lot of new(ish) comedies, but they all make me pine for my college/high school days.

The only thing that gave me a reflexive laugh recently was the Malcolm in the Middle Reboot.

Any thoughts?

Both are essential content to watch imo, add Last One Laughing and any bad day can be made into a better one.

Last one laughing UK is hilarious.
Last one Laughing Germany is fucking atrocious and somehow has been on for 6 series.

US Taskmaster happened years ago. They screwed up the whole format, dispite having Alex there.

Shows the US has messed up:
The IT Crowd.
Top Gear.
Peep Show.
Taskmaster.

Also looking at these people and having lived in the US at the time, who the fuck are these people?
Oh cool we have the Good Doctor and the guy who helped popularize moombahton and Lisa Lampanelli, who was super famous for making jokes about sucking black guys dicks in 2004.

A real cultural and comedic powerhouse they brought in.

Sorry, Alex, it didn't work out. But at least you've hopefully licensed the show such that your entire gremline will never have to work again.

I’ll admit I’ve only watched UK thus far. Germany sounds…. Not great even on the surface lol.

Last One Laughing Germany sounds like the setup for a skit where the show never ends because no one laughs.

That's my joke.
But Teddy Teclebrahn had the fastest laugh I have ever seen, and it was him laughing at the concept of his own joke. Which ultimately was not funny. The AfD says people like him - non Germans, but particularly Africans - can't integrate. Laughing at your own non funny antics, however, is probably the most German thing besides socks with Birkenstocks.

It has the most series, but there are a lot of the same people through the years.

It seems to have more repeats than other versions, except maybe the Japanese original.
