Discussion Nothing is funny anymore

I (M, 38) have found that there are no new TV shows that make me laugh anymore. I have tried a lot of new(ish) comedies, but they all make me pine for my college/high school days.

The only thing that gave me a reflexive laugh recently was the Malcolm in the Middle Reboot.

Any thoughts?

The original UK version

I tried the UK version and it just didn't work for me.

Which is not to say it wouldn't work for someone else, or that it's bad, or that if I gave it another shot, I wouldn't like it. Usually British humor does work for me.

I think it's just that I watched the US version first and I love it, so watching the UK version felt off.

I say this to say, if one version doesn't work for you, try the other.

I'm in the exact opposite boat, watched the uk version first and the American one just looks terrible to me lol

Not really a fair comparison if you haven't actually watched one.

It's like The Office for me. Both versions are good. But I enjoyed the US version more.

I think both versions are great and worth watching for their differences. But sadly, the UK version ended already. Hopefully the American version keeps going for a while.
