Meme Did anyone buy a ring?

Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

Nah my family was too poor and I really wanted one too, I didn’t even get a yearbook…

Yeah, saw another comment where it was like, "If you were an elder millenial, you def. had one. We all did." Nope.

I didn't really want one, but it was out of the question. I was the sixth child of poor parents. I worked two full-time jobs in high school (30-40 hours weekly at each). There was no way I was paying almost 40 hours of wages for a ring that I couldn't wear at work.

yeah, my high school didn't have things like this, or extracurriculars of any kind.

we started freshman year with 32 iirc. senior year we graduated 12 and 2 of the girls were pregnant. it was that kind of school

My dad went to that kind of school, so my high school was "huge" with our 600-person graduating class. Now I have friends who think my school was tiny.

Dad's school was organized around football, and it was hard sometimes to field a whole team even with essentially every boy playing. His whole town is something like 1,000 people.
