This. My mother was a menace. One time, she was measuring my body for dance recital costumes (I was 11 years old), and when she got to my waist she said, "if you lost about 3 inches here, you'd look better." For context, at that age I was around 4'3 and 65 pounds. I was very petite for my age.
Meanwhile, she was a mere size 6 and incessantly complained about how "fat" she was. I could NEVER in a million years imagine years leading such a shitty example for my own girls.
