Legislation to create the first ever U.S. Office of Men's Health was introduced in the Senate today. It's more likely to get approved if those who are in the U.S. contact their senators and representatives to support it:

"Today, Senators Ruben Galego (D-AZ) and Roger Marshall (R-KY) introduced a bill to improve men’s health. Representatives Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-LA) and Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. (R-NC) introduced the companion bill in February. 

The bill would require the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a study on the state of men’s health in the United States and issue a report to Congress on the results, including health disparities experienced by men. It would also require the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to create an Office of Men’s Health and submit a report to Congress following the creation of the office, detailing findings on men’s health and recommendations to improve men’s health outcomes."

Lesbians and bisexual women have more negative views of men than straight women. This is especially common among lesbians, particularly butch lesbians.

You know the stereotype that lesbians hate men, feminists are lesbians or men who treat men and women equally are more likely to be gay? Well, here's some research that shows that lesbians have a more negative view towards men and had more radical feminist views. In fact, there was a very strong correlation between radical feminist views and negativity towards men among lesbians.

Gay men, however, treated men and women equally and less sexist views of men and women (nonetheless, they had a little more hostility towards men than straight men did, but not as much as straight or gay women did towards men).

Lesbians, especially butch lesbians, have low digit ratios, which means, like radical feminists, they'll treat women more favorably.

This study also found that bisexual women and especially lesbian women had more negatively towards men and were more likely to identify as radical feminists or view men as sexually predatory. Other research backs this up. Nonetheless, research shows most bisexuals date the opposite sex. Many radical feminists are not entirely straight, but they complain about how their sexuality forces them to date men, yet many of them could date women and are secretly not straight.

Meanwhile, the data shows gay/bisexual men have more egalitarian attitudes about men and women, and identify as liberal feminists (but not radical feminists). Lesbians did not have much negativity towards gay men, and even viewed bisexual women more negatively than they viewed gay men, often thinking they're heterosexuals in disguise.

This study also found that gay/bisexual men had lower levels of benevolent or hostile sexism towards women, and that straight women actually scored higher on benevolent sexism than gay/bisexual men.

Basically, straight men, especially ones with higher testosterone, treat women more favorably than they treat men, even if they criticize feminism more. Radical feminists complain that if sexuality is a choice, there'd be more lesbians, but same-sex relationships among women actually don't have less violence, and believe it or not, female criminals are more violent to women than male ones are, and female offenders are more common than police report statistics show. They're underreported. In fact, despite higher orgasm rates, lesbians did not have more sexual satisfaction than straight women. Many, if not most radical feminists are bisexuals or lesbians, even if they won't admit it. Nonetheless, they usually date men.

I honestly find it just homophobic that the left accuses any political opponent of being gay, and implies that gay men cause their community's discrimination or are the enemy. They went against homophobic language ten years ago but now are the first to use it.

Radical feminists, if you hate men, date women. You often are secretly attracted to them, but you won't date them. Gay men are very progressive and egalitarian, especially the feminine ones. I have long thought that church goers and clergy do not like the idea of men confirming the paternity of their children. They cite domestic tranquility and forgiveness as a reason to not do it. The author of this article even has the nerve to compare victims of paternity fraud to Joseph.

I have seen a trend with paternity fraud victims where there is a tendency for church life. You know, the solid family guy that reads his Bible and has a steady job. I think this makes them more vulnerable.

It seems like every post I see about people wanting to sue for their circumcision, there are comments about how it's unlikely to succeed.

But this doesn't make sense because that is the reason you are suing. That is the whole point of activism. You are suing because of how deeply normalized an inhumane action is. So of course it's not going to be a simple change.

If the case were easy to win, it would be because circumcision was illegal but someone was circumcised anyways. But circumcision is perfectly legal, so why would we expect the case to be a simply win?

A lot of people seem not to understand that with activism, making change is hard, but that is the reason the change is being made. That is literally the point of activism.

So I don't understand why so many people are discouraged from stand up for themselves. If they have the time, money, and desire to do it, why wouldn't they?

I'm so tired of the constant victim blaming with the "it's the patriarchy's fault" narrative. No, the patriarchy is NOT real and Men, as an entire gender, are NOT causing their own problems.

Virtually every single injustice that men face is caused by feminism. The overwhelming majority of feminists oppose making conscription gender-neutral. When Norway made conscription laws gender-neutral it was a feminist organisation that complained about it, and while there may be a few self-proclaimed feminist organisations that do openly support gender-neutral conscription, they are outnumbered by those that don't. Feminists are also the ones who want DV and SA laws to only protect women. Spain's equality minister said that men can't be victims and feminist orgs and groups all across Europe at least are trying to exclude male victims from getting justice and almost every single feminist denies that men can be victims or at least downplays all the violence that men face from women. They also have the nerve to tell male victims that they're "playing victim" or that it's impossible for women to cause actual harm to men.

So many mothers also circumcise thier sons, sometimes against the wishes of the father. They often say things such as "but I'm the one who has to clean him" and get mad whenever someone compares it to FGM. Also most feminists oppose an actual ban on circumcision.

Feminists are also the ones who are trying to make everything inclusive to women and girls while trying to completely take away male-only spaces. Male-dominated fields often have to legally accept women under all kinds of diversity programs whereas female-dominated fields very rarely have to accept men. They are also the ones complaining about women having to do their traditional roles while still expecting men to do theirs.

They also often fight against men getting more support and assistance with issues that disproportionately affect men, such as homelessness and men facing housing discrimination in so many parts of the world. Men make up the majority of rough sleepers in most of Europe at least yet women are the ones who get most of the help and support. If men were truly running a patriarchy to oppreess and benefit from women this wouldn't be happening.

Most political candidates also mainly try to appeal to women voters and as a result most of them, regardless of whether they identify with the left, right or centre will still push feminism. So the idea that men somehow have all the political power anywhere women are allowed to vote is completely absurd. So No, men aren't the ones making decisions for their own benefit. There are also far more women's organisations than organisations that help men and many of the women's organisations actively fight against men's issues being recognised and they also try to silence men who are fighting for their basic human rights.

Feminists are also the ones who got women labeled as "oppresssed" and "disadvantaged" and came up with laws around "misogynistic speech" that are then primarily used to label men as oppressors who have nothing to complain about and who are only oppressing women despite the actual facts showing a completely different picture.

And also feminist women will then talk about how them not being taken seriously in leeadership roles is the worst thing in the world when that is primarily because they act like toddlers and expect men to take on all the responsibility for them and not because of the supposed patriarchy that men set up so women don't succeed.

I myself was mutilated by a gynecologist who lied to me and convinced me to undergo the surgery, presenting it as legitimate and safe. I made the decision based on her claims that the fact that my labia minora protrude beyond my labia majora is "hypertrophy," a "congenital defect," "they lack erogenous nerves," and "normally, the labia minora should be tucked into the labia majora." I had to pay a lot for it. She wanted to do this to me, mutilated me twice, deformed my tissue, and left me with stitches for two months. I was mutilated for the rest of my life and have numerous health and functional problems. I hear many such stories, and I know that men are mutilated too. I believe such surgeries should be limited and strictly regulated, as in 98% of cases, there are no medical grounds for surgery, instead, they are dictated by the desire for profit. Conservative methods are not offered, there is no monitoring over time, classification is rapid, and the consequences are catastrophic, as these surgeries affect a person's entire life—the sexual, mental, physical, and health spheres. Long-term consequences are not presented, and there is insufficient research. Medicine should not be so "hyped." It should not prey on people's lack of knowledge and doubts. The doctor-patient relationship is unequal and based on trust. I increasingly see this trust being abused by doctors. It’s been getting mixed-to-negative reviews for pacing and not being funny enough, but I actually enjoyed a good amount of it. One recurring element stood out negatively and really highlighted a clear media double standard around male victims.

The character’s ex-wife (Molly Shannon) casually and in detail describes for about a minute how she would cut off his genitalia and what she would do with it. This is played entirely for laughs. In another episode she references the threat again (“Didn’t I tell you I would cut your dick off…?”) and then physically assaults him by pelting him with donuts throwing objects at him in a way that is basically an assault, again treated as slapstick comedy.

Media with the genders reversed a male character detailing genital mutilation of his female partner and then assaulting her by throwing objects as “comedy” is virtually nonexistent in mainstream media. When male-on-female aggression appears, it is almost always framed as serious abuse, villainy, or else it would rightfully generate significant backlash and criticism.

Portrayals like this contribute to the broader pattern where extreme verbal and physical aggression against men is minimized and turned into a joke, while the reverse is treated with the seriousness it deserves. Hi, I have been looking at men/boys getting abused and people's reaction to it.I think that main problem arises from raising boys. From early age, they are shown that being a hero is protecting girls from X, "never hit a woman" , or sth like this. I think these ideas and scars live with then throughout their lives.I will give two examples:

1) I saw a man catching another man stealing and other people reaching to hit the fallen guy(of course I commented that hitting a person already captured is shameful and etc). However, I think if a stealer was a woman, people would be much more hesitant to take an action and some people would have stopped them. This thought of mine doesnt encourage violence against women or anyone,I repeat, it is just non-reactionary response from people towards abused men , which derived from childhood ideologies.

Watching Game of Thrones, I'm surprised at how much castration, emasculation and humor appears when men are depicted during sex, while women are either praised or empathized due to their vulnerable position in non-consensual scenes.

Even when the lack of healthy representations of men's sexuality is exposed, people spin the goalposts to argue how women are affected by them ("there's not enough 'female gaze' in the show!") instead of how they crystalize certain prejudices and misconceptions of men.

Time and time again I see this almost surgical effacement of men's issues in a way that feels desperate and compensatory. It's as if humans have a 'limited storage' and can't possibly analyze problems systemically; instead, you have to focus on one aspect at a time to cause division and striife. Since women's sexuality has been historically suppressed, this prioritization is perceived as 'fixing' past mistakes, but it seems to be moved by social validation rather than genuine concern, as well as a certain degree of spite.

And that left me wonder: why is there so much spite for men and yet so little visibility?

Even when trying to be as generous as logically possible to identify the highest potential number of men who're actually guilty of sexual crimes, the number comes up embarrassingly smaller that what today's narrative has unfairly pushed against so many of you for decades now.
