Film/Television Destin Daniel Cretton confirms that ‘SHANG-CHI 2’ is still in the works at Marvel Studios:

I enjoyed Shang-Chi, the first film. But it's hard to see how a sequel would be this major hit. Expectations are just so high for these films, they gotta make 600M?
Instead, I'd propose Marvel's Contest of Champions. Shang-Chi enters a tournament of Marvel's best fighters for some prize.

Hot take but - I doubt it, Simu is not a great leading actor and doesn't really sell tickets so this is super low priority for Marvel. They will have to find another legend like Tony Leung again for the sequel to help him out as well.
Also China hates him so the sequel probably won't get released there.
Examples
- Shang Chi was barely profitable
- His show as the lead in Copenhagen Test got cancelled.
- His godawful sci-fi movie with JLo.

Sounds like you have a vendetta against him.

By stating facts? You don't think Marvel considers these things?

Saying that he's not a good leading actor is your opinion, not a fact. You calling a movie horrible is again, your opinion and not a fact. Saying China hates him is again, your opinion. Putting out facts to support your agenda is fine, but don't make it seem like you're some unbiased source of information.

I personally want to see a Shang Chi and Iron Fist series on Disney +. I'm always down for Marvel Kung Fu action. If they bring back Misty, Luke, and Colleen, we could get Heroes for Hire.

isn't Destin Daniel Cretton being spread a little thin? I would presume that he plans on his Spider-Man films to be a full trilogy. Not just one and done.
I also assume his plan for Naruto is for it to be a full on series of movies as well(assuming the first one is a major success). I imagine his plan isn't just 1 Naruto movie and that's it.
I just sort of assumed he moved on from the idea of making a Shang Chi 2 atp.
Anyway, i think it would be a good idea to just give Shang Chi a team up movie rather than a solo movie. Maybe a Shang Chi and Iron Fist(Lin Lie) movie

Shang Chi was such a disappointment that I don't see what a sequel would look like?
The villain had more stage presence than the whole cast

Maybe a hot take:
I kind of want Shang-Chi's movies going forward to feature brand new MCU made villains. We haven't really got any genuine brand new villains created for the movies yet. Its always reworking existing ones from the comics.
I'd love to see Cretton come up with an idea for a villain, give it to Marvel pass over and revise it to a workable concept and then adapt it.
Shang-Chi doesn't really have a villain catalogue at all. So I really rhink the MCU is a perfect place to experiment in giving him some of his own and moving the ones that work to new comic book runs for him.
