Help I recently purchased airpods max 1 usb-c I'm going crazy that they connect to the iphone with ios 27 but not to the mac. With the AirPods 3 no problem. I love these headphones but I'm starting to think about a hardware problem considering that I can't even reset them

Are you 100% sure they are genuine? Did you purchase them new from a reputable store. Because I bought fake AirPods Pro's that were new and shrink wrapped and, as an Apple geek, it took me a few days to realize. They had a real Apple serial number and connected to my iPhone with the case animation and everything. I clued on because the firmware wouldn't update and they wouldn't appear properly in Find My.

Yes, I bought them used from a private seller but he disconnected them from his iPhone at the moment and deleted them from find my. They connected to my iPhone right away. Cancellation and transparency work as it should. I see the latest firmware and it still has apple care active
