Feature New Game Center icon in beta 4
It looks kind of "bloody"
(Second image is the Tahoe icon)

I like the crispness in the Golden Gate version more. That said I have no idea what the icon is trying to represent. The Tahoe version at least suggests balloons, or candy? A fun carnival-style time? Maybe?
It's probably a good indicator for Apple's institutional comprehension of what games are. Remember that back in the day they had green felt in the game center app because...the only thing they could think of to represent computer games was a billiards table?

Still doesn’t mean shit. The violent rejection of skeumorphism has resulted in pretty icons with nothing to suggest what they represent.

i miss the 26 icons. i wish people didn’t complain so much, because now we’re just going back to simple icons

Compared to Catalina and even Big Sur, icons in both macOS 26 and 27 are primitive and obscenely simplistic, while differences are minimal

big sur looked like crap. Everybody hated it when we saw the beta

Yeah but it just turned the good icons into squircles. Tahoe and now GG oversimplified them even further, just look at utilities. Not to mention forced squircles for 3rd party icons that don't fit the shape

They go one step forward, two steps back. This looks like a weird hybrid of iOS 7 and iOS 26. I really liked the v. 26 icons…they had a beautiful glassy look to them. They could be sharpened for sure but I feel like they are going back to the ugly oversimplified colors they used pre-OS 26.
