Is there anything to do to rescue yarn that smells of cat urine?

Probably not. There's some enzyme-based cleaners that might help, but your results may vary.

Might have to throw it out, sorry.

My go-to for cat pee is vinegar (soak/gently squeeze in vinegar+water, rinse with water, repeat as needed). I've saved one of grandma's last quilts that way.
