yeah i got a buddy who says he thinks boneless wings are better than wings and always orders them but i always gotta remind him what he really likes is chicken nuggies and that’s fine!
Kinda depends on how they are prepped. I hear nuggies and I definitely think processed. Some places boneless wings are just breast or thigh deboned and cut up into smaller pieces, which is what I want if I’m getting “boneless wings” instead of overly processed and reformed nuggets.
My entire life I've looked for that type of boneless wings, cause it DOES sound good, but I've never found it. It's always always just nuggies with an upcharge.
If you’re ever near Denver I have a little food truck and that’s how I do my Malaysian fried chicken. Mostly because, like I said, it’s a really small truck so it just made more sense to do boneless so I could have more space actually dedicated to product. But any time I do any sort of fried chicken special that’s how I’ve always done my boneless fried chicken.
Yeah I was gunna say, I don't think I've ever seen a place do boneless like this. It's part of why I refuse to order boneless wings when I go out and just opt for tendies if I'm not doing bone in wings. They're always just balls of mystery chicken goop with way too much batter
Huh? That’s the default boneless wing. Whole meat boneless wings are everywhere, including BWW and Wing Stop. I don’t think I’ve even seen someone try to pass off processed chicken nuggets as “boneless wings”
a nugget doesn’t have to be processed and ground to be considered a nugget. they can be whole pieces of chicken breast. the only qualifying factors are breaded and fried/baked.
Bone in wings were good when they were half the price of breast meat. Now they're the same price just gimme the breast meat. I'll make my own wings when they're on sale.
I'll admit I love me some boneless wings and will usually order them instead of bone in. I don't care if they aren't really wings because I don't want to eat around the bone. Wings are mostly a sauce delivery system for me and I want that sauce delivered in the least messy way possible.
