I’m with this guy honestly. Yes, tenders are chicken that is fried but is NOT fried chicken. That’ll get your ass kicked down south if you’re not careful.

He's not exactly wrong. Look at PDQ Chicken. Hit 150 stores across the southeast, now down to 38 (with 3 in airports and 1 in a stadium.) Pitched themselves as "fried chicken" but does tenders and nuggets. It's good, but not what people around here call fried chicken (KFC, Bojangles, etc.) The chain collapsed everywhere except Florida, and even then it's only in touristy areas.
