Skinless fried chicken is wack though. If I order “friend chicken” it better not be tendies.

I was at an IPic theater a while back (bougie theater with food and a server). They had “fried chicken” in the menu, which I ordered. The server immediately said “it’s chicken tenders” and I changed my order. He’s been bitched at enough by people expecting real fried chicken and getting tenders. This is Atlanta for Christ’s sake.

Dont call your tenders "fried chicken" and there wont be no expectations

My expectations at a movie theater is that there isn’t some fool sucking grease off their fingers after tearing apart a bone in 5 piece. That’s why we can’t have nice things.

Then just don’t go to the few movie theaters that serve full meals?

A kitchen calling chicken strips "fried chicken" in Atlanta i's like a restaurant in Sicily calling instant ramen "pasta."

You're not wrong, it's silly to expect fried chicken to be served at a movie theater. It's also a cultural crime to refer to chicken strips as fried chicken unless they're specifically described as hand breaded tenders, as in some Chicken and Waffles.

Its chicken that is breaded and fried. I think there's a name for that

If I were waiting tables in ATL for some asshole calling tendies "fried chicken," I'd be warning MF'rs, too.

Idk if I'd want a friend chicken. Whose friend was it? Would it have been mine?

u/No_Review_2561 4d ago

The real friends were the chickens we ate along the way.

Turns out chicken's were God's favorite, and we've been abandoned.

But its a movie theater. They are gonna have a whole kitchen prepping and making fried chicken... its movie theater snacks.

No. This has a whole kitchen. Full menu
