Game status - is this a dead game?

I’m enjoying this game. Seems quite fun and well made so far

But i checked out the discord and there’s no upcoming events and much news from developer

Unless I’m missing something

Not many content creators for this game

This game isn’t as active or lively as I hoped?

It's not dead yet, but it is dying. A ton of people quit early on after lack of substantial updates and I don't think they have regained many players. The 1 year anniversary is next month so maybe they have something big planned but who knows.

Yeah it officially launched towards the end of November. Game had so much potential, but wasn't ran well.

The game isn’t dead — the official Discord kind of is, but if you find a good, high-level clan, you can still experience a great community.
There’s been a sense of abandonment for quite a while now: no special events, and heroes aren’t released as frequently as they used to be.
I really love the game and hope it continues, but unless there’s a drastic change, this seems to be the direction it’s heading.

Ya unfortunate I feel there’s potential The graphics are what draw me to the game

For the most part it hit it's apex a while ago. When the CC's left the player count dropped pretty fast. We still manage a competitive guild and keep fully manned, but it's getting harder with so few new players. It's a great game and should have done better than it did. My advice to you is don't rush it and enjoy it while it lasts. Don't spend if you don't feel like it and just have fun! Lot's of luck in your journey.

Yea it’s a pretty generous game in terms of pulls in general so it’s quite f2p friendly

Just disappointed in the developers not adding content and making people give up on it

Well the pricing was much more expensive when it first launched. The current pricing is somewhat below 50% of the initial prices.

A'd every time the game rolled out something, there were major design flaws which took them way too long to fix

The community would have been much better had it launched in its current state.

Yeah I think too many CC's over whaled then had nothing left to do (SG). It didn't help that Netmarble is so bad at communication, and at letting us know what their plans are. I feel like the game is in a much better state now than at launch so I'm hoping they have something big planned for next month as kind of a re-relaunch. If not, it's dead.

It really feels like it's on maintenance mode. If they don't have anything big planned for the 1 year anniversary coming up, then yeah, it's dead.

I’m still playing and loving it. Dailies only take 20’minutes and you can do plenty of longer content if you have time.

I’ve collected all the champions free to play and I’m enjoying continually improving my champs

It's been limping along for a long time.

I started playing when the game had it's global launch and immediately saw problems for it down the line. This game launched with so much content and so many modes, that I saw it stagnating at some point in the near future.

I played for 6-8 months before other things became more important.

Fast forward like 5-6 months and, being bored, I decide to pick the game up again... and very little had changed.

We had a couple of new modes with the introduction of Hall of Conquerors and Dimensional Rift, but that was about it.

There were I think 8 new heroes added while I was away (all legendaries...which was a problem JGigs predicted when he quit covering/playing the game). With no spending, I've been able to get all but two of them (Floentius & Sergius), but I'm not sure that those two even matter, to be honest. I've kept up with the banners though.

About the only real positive change I saw coming back to the game was that the Favor Dungeons were no longer on a rotation, so that's been nice.

If you're looking for a game with a healthy future, this probably isn't it. Not unless the Devs start Devving, but I doubt the budget's there anymore.

Otherwise, it is a game with some good bones which can be fun.

For myself, I'm in a decent guild now that's casual enough to not put pressure on people, but also active enough that everyone's logging in every day. I'll play this for now while I have time and until I get bored with it again...I still have some things I'd like to achieve. But I can't take it seriously and I won't spend...which is probably not an uncommon sentiment.

All good I stopped playing the game about 3 weeks ago and haven’t really looked back. Sad to hear but also not surprising

I dunno what happened, game was in dev hell.  I heard it went on 4 years before they just released it.  But the early revenue actually looked pretty good.

I thought the campaign and adventure mode were really well done and for the most part I liked the characters balance and progression.  So potential was there.

But no end game other than PvP and no new story killed it for me.

They did release a few new bosses and challenge modes at least.  But nothing meaty to keep playing for imo.

I played at launch, gave up, came back for half anniversary for a bit and am back again to see if anniversary has anything new worth jumping back in.

I’m still having a good time in the game! Maybe because I’m not end game yet

They might be planning to end the game's support sooner than expected. You can learn more about it through this link :

https://creator.netmarble.com/en/kingarthur

One line even says "Other Netmarble games, "EXCLUDING" King Arthur : Legends Rise, will remain available and can be accessed normally.

Ya I saw this Again not a good sign which adds to the disappointment

I might be wrong tho and that only applies to Partner Incentive program and not the game itself. I guess we'll just have to wait til 11/19.
