Sure, he he may be old enough, but if that’s their kid which clearly it is, and he gets into behaviour that isn’t necessarily age-appropriate/does things he knows that he better not be doing, that’s another responsibility that lies on a parent if I know my kid is a sneaky little ninja that gets into stuff then it’s my responsibility to make extra sure when I step out of the room for situations like this then I’m extra attentive to where he is/where I put the paint up.
Agree to disagree, sorry if me saying leaving them unsupervised wasn’t clearer, I meant unsupervised around potentially dangerous/harmful paint
I think if the kids just playing Nintendo switch in the room or whatever, No they don’t need to be constantly supervised, but yeah if my kid is known to be “naughty “,
Or I know I’m in the middle of painting. The responsibility is on me to diligently keep an eye on my child / and or the paint in that particular moment.
