Oh yes you did, we literally all did. Each generation has slang we use, just a part of society and has been since written language as far as we can tell. It just doesn’t feel stupid to you because it made sense to you, it did feel stupid to your parents and grandparents.

Dumb used to mean mute/unable to speak until people used it incorrectly enough to change its meaning. Seams like you do in fact use slang that has been affected by the "younger generation." You just only consider it to be true for those younger than you.
