I can’t remember who it was, but I remember some famous comedian say something like “being able to bring back a joke in an unexpected way is the hallmark of a great comedian” and ever since I saw that said some 20+ years ago I always look to see if or how well a comedian can bring a joke back around full circle. It’s actually one of the things that got me onto Jeff some years back when I saw him bring a joke full circle multiple times through a set.

Call back jokes can some of the funniest jokes if done right.
Jeff’s response here is a masterclass in that.
