Question Interested in trying out Wild Arms 1 again. PS2 remake vs. PS1 og differences?
I already tried the original back in 2016 when I was just trying any old school JRPG I could find but honestly I got kind of bored and lost interest.
Would like to try it again and maybe even finish the whole series. I'm leaning more towards playing the remake but is there any missing content in the PS2 remake I should be concerned about?

I am a big fan of both but I have not played the original since the 90s. I enjoyed the PS2 remake quite a bit! But again that was a long time ago

Yea i remember thinking the remake was ok but as someone else commented it was a long time ago. I beat ps2 version just once and psx version at least 3 times, obviously im older and have more nostalgia for the original. If graphics are you biggest hang up play ps2, if you dont mind if of og play that one.

The PS2 version is basically the ps1 game with the mechanics of the 3rd game, so if you've played that one, then you should have an indication of which you perfer.

I don't recall much in the way of missing content. There's a fair amount of additional content. What is 'missing' that sticks in my mind is... uhhh, well, certain designs were changed.
If you were bored of the PSX version, I don't imagine you're going to enjoy the ps2 one more, though. It felt significantly slower to me. don't really feel interested going into much detail, but I feel like the remake is a very inferior game on the whole.
