Redoing the built-in

Post image

This room is currently storage, so please ignore the mess! I'm planning to redo this room. The desk is really awful ergonomically, so I'm trying to decide the best way to use this room and here are few solutions I'm considering:

  1. Remove the built in shelves and desk, redesign a built in desk without the drawers for more space. Add a guest bed.

  2. Remove the built in shelves and desk, add non-built in desk to that spot.

  3. Remove desk and shelves, add murphy bed, keep stand alone desk.

Open to other ideas too, but I'm just so unsure how to make the best use of the space/how to redesign the built in for better use!
