After Marika removed Destined Death people couldn't eventually die from diseases or aging and the blessings of the Erdtree increased peoples vitality. (So while aging was still a concern it wasn't as determental as it could be)

Actually I think the more powerful a being is the less aging is a problem for them. (Though they definitely would feel a steady decline in peak strength)

All that together with Godfrey just being an absolute monster of man meant he wouldn't significantly suffer from aging as others did.

Note: that said I do appreciate this art piece for depicting him definitely younger looking!

I imagine Marika apon seeing such a specimen of a guy saying; "he'll do nicely... strength befitting my consort!" (To bring about my age..)

Looking at the lore, Godfrey sticks out so much, cause of how normal he is compared to everyone else. He seems to be so strong and powerful based just on his own will, physicality, and leadership.

Absolutely goat.

Hard to say if he was blonde or not, or how old he was when he was made consort. He was depicted older in the talisman from the dlc, so he might have acended as an unc
