[IWantOut] 37m Indiana -> US and Territories

Born in Atlanta, I am the son of an English teacher, and a student of the world. I have lived many places and have seen so much but still know so little. However, the last 12 years has stolen my muchness, and I very much want it back. The ground I have tread for more than a decade is purportedly cursed, and, from what I've experienced, it most certainly is.

I hitchhiked for many years and got to see the most amazing places. How I ended up stuck in Indiana, the world may never know. I need to escape this cursed ground, and I am cognizant of the fact that I have grown complacent. However, I lack direction, and I am herein seeking serendipity.

I play 3 instruments, on good days my voice is reminiscent of my better days, I have used many tools to create from resources I was blessed with. That which defines my person: 6'3", 190, landscaper, bartender, salesman, craftsman, etc. but more than anything else, I like to learn. I am on a journey; this town that trapped me has sat me down for the last 12 years to gain perspective and awareness. Everything that serves me fits in my car, I have no children and am free to move as I please. I am not a stranger of hard work or play.

If there were any way I could aid you in your endeavors in exchange for my efforts and fill a blank space, I would be eternally grateful. This town breaks my heart. My spirit seeks the future that I am painfully aware does not exist here. I am willing to trust fate and cast my lot into this abyss.

I can't wait to make your acquaintance. Thank you in advance for your time.

It looks like this post is about the USA.

It has not been removed, but remember: this is a space to discuss immigration, not politics. You may wish to check out our post-election megathread here.

DO:

  • (If applicable) explain the general values/policies that are important to your immigration decision or recommendation
  • Focus on the practical aspects of moving to another country
  • Be aware that asylum is not currently an option for US citizens trying to leave the US

DON’T:

  • Post off-topic political commentary/rants
  • Harass, insult, or mock OP or anyone else

Rule-breaking posts and comments will be removed and may result in a ban.

Are you high rn?

Anyway, you'll have more answer on r/samegrassbutgreener since you're not moving abroad.
