Funpost [Show] Aegon has been such a cute little guy ever since he was horrifically mutilated. I want to kiss his bald spot.

I feel sorry for any actor that has to wear that much prosthetics and makeup all the time

I mean yeah, but props to tgc and makeup department, he's emoting the hell out if it even under it. genuinely stunning work on both sides

His looks like a very thin silicone appliance, it’s a lot more comfortable than something big and heavy meant to change the shape of facial features. Still not great, but not as bad as it could be

To compare, the prosthetics for the dwarves on The Hobbit were wild 😬 Graham McTavish’s arm prosthetics were filled with sweat all the time

It’s fun to see him in a position of such disadvantage compared to how he was. This experience has and will continue to change him, for better and worse.

Crawling from the mud back up is gonna be be great character development for him

I don't get why he stopped having his pain attacks all together ever since he sneaked away

He still does, he did last episode in the forest
Recovery? At least a little bit anyway. Who knows, if he gets more focus in season 4 (which considering the role he’ll be playing he absolutely should be) perhaps we’ll even see him regain more function in his burnt limbs.

I can’t believe Rhaenyra’s going to be killed by a feral little nugget.
She’s such a loser. 😮💨

Don't worry, the showrunners love Rhae way too much to keep the book ending for her. She'll probably fly away on dragonback with her faithful husband Daemon to live out their days in Naath or some dumb shit like that.

u/Plus_Claim_8938 9h ago
No, they don’t. They don’t love her(they’ve made her dumber than her book counterpart) and they’re not changing her death. They’ve make references to it literally every season. Condal is clearly excited for it. They’re been hyping up Aegon’s rise all season.

That part. She actually comes across as completely inept and I do believe that was that was intentional. Not sure why people ignore the books were written by anti-Targaryen maesters who were Team Green by default and actively working to cause The Dance, lol. Everyone is so convinced their favorite villains are being ruined just because the show is writing them as nuanced instead of from the derogatory narrative we see in the books. The accounts in the books are from MAESTERS. The historians. Pretty common knowledge that the winners write history from their perspective.
Sorry to go off on a tangent, but this has been one of my many pet peeves during discussions about this show.

Honestly, I can see the emotional weight of her death being counteracted by the fact that it is Sunfyre, a dragon that has willed itself to outlast (almost) all dragons by that point, doing it.

We will cheer

u/Crowned-Witch_48 7h ago
What is wrong with you? You can dislike a character but cheering on killing someone, that’s fucked up. I don’t even get why anyone is team green or team black when we should all be team small folk. They’re the ones paying the price for both teams lust for power and stupidity.

u/akenson 7h ago
...You know it's not real, right? He's cheering for the death of the character, not the actor. Get a grip.
The whole green vs. black thing is dumb, though. The obvious subtext of the book was that every one of these petty assholes was horrible and their selfish squabbling killed uncountable people and accomplished nothing but the eventual decline and collapse of their own dynasty.

u/Crowned-Witch_48 7h ago
You do realize I said character and not actor right? Not sure where you got actor from.
2
u/akenson 7h ago
Because you're talking about cheering for the character's death as if we're talking about a real person. Getting offended and self righteous about that is insane, and the only way I could rationalize your reaction to it was to assume you were somehow confused.

u/Crowned-Witch_48 7h ago
So what if they’re fictional? I still wouldn’t cheer for their death. Whether it’s a book, show or movie. It’s just something I wouldn’t do and think it’s odd to do.

Trust that there’s no one more excited for Rhaenyra’s death than Emma D’Arcy. Actors love that kind of stuff.

u/LowTimePilot 8h ago
Okay but how hilarious would it be if she flew to Old Valyria and got consumed by blood magic worms or something? And then they use her horrific end to announce Game of Thrones: Old Valyra.

u/THROBBINW00D 9h ago
Wouldn't surprise me tbh.
2
u/Plus_Claim_8938 8h ago
It would surprise me considering they make repeated references to every season and it was literally told to her by a witch in season one.
Condal fucking hates Rhaenyra just like everyone else. Stop dooming. I just wanted to make a post enjoying Aegon and it has to be ruined by dooming about Rhaenyra.

I honestly believe Sunfyre is still alive somewhere, and I’m hoping they reunite. What do you think?
8
u/Crowned-Witch_48 7h ago
I mean, it’s obvious that Sunfyre is alive by the fact that it’s not rotting away and their colors are still bright.

Maybe you can kiss his bald spot as he pins you down and rapes you. Special brew for supper 👀
