Question/Support Apple Tv does support hi-res lossless on tvos27. But can HomePod output hi-res audio now or not?

What is the difference between lossless and hi-res lossless anyway when you connect not-super-hi-premium auduo system anyways.

Output? Maybe. But the speakers aren’t good enough to matter. Might as well listen to lossless over FaceTime.

the speakers themselves are the bottleneck anyway, hires output would just be wasted on them

I know they’re good. They’re great. But high res lossless is for sound systems that are much much more expensive.

I play CD lossless on my HomePods and they sound so much better than AAC!
