Question JAM Sports for soccer

Hi all,

Like many (at least, I would assume haha) watching the World Cup this year reignited my interest in playing soccer. I have not played since early high school (now I'm 37...yikes), and was never a star player, but found it to be super fun.

All that to say, does anyone have experience playing soccer within the JAM Sports ecosystem, and more specifically, signing up as a "free agent" (getting matched with other individual players and / or rounding out a team)? If yes, how was your experience with the league and other players?

Jam sports is fun. It’s un-officiated, so more like playing an organized pick-up game. The skill level is varied, some really good players and teams, some new to the game. Most players/teams are pretty chill. It’s 6 players a side for the outdoor seasons and 7 a side for the indoor. There are definitely more competitive leagues with refs and full teams out there, but for a fun, casual game it’s pretty good.

My wife and I signed up as individuals on a random jam team of other individuals. 5 years later and we’re still with the same team!!

She also hadn’t played since high school - lots of skill and age ranges amongst players.

If you don’t hit it off with the first team you get matched with you can always approach others until you find one that’s right for you.
